Chief Cyber Strategist, Jim Jaeger, to Speak at Cyber Risk Summit
Arete Incident Response, a leading incident response and cybersecurity provider, announced today that Jim Jaeger, president and chief cyber strategist at Arete, will speak at NetDiligence’s Virtual Cyber Risk Summit Santa Monica, September 29 – October 7.
Jim will speak on the panel session, “Threat Intelligence,” on Wednesday, October 7, at 9AM EDT. This session will explore threat intelligence–the acquisition of both internal and external knowledge about threats to an environment. Topics covered will be:
- The importance of AI/machine language enabled endpoint detection and response
- Threat intelligence and the 3 steps to operationalize
- A walk-through of a ransomware attack
Jim will be joined by Devon Ackerman, managing director and head of North America incident response, Kroll; Dominic Paluzzi, member and co-chair of the data privacy and cybersecurity practice, McDonald Hopkins; and Vinny Sakore, chief technology officer, NetDiligence.
“Understanding how to operationalize threat intelligence and the barriers in which companies must overcome to do so, is important in today’s cyber driven world,” said Jaeger. “Having a partner that is experienced in implementing this could produce time and cost savings for an organization, as well as protect them from future cyber incidents.”
Jim is an over 25-year veteran of the cybersecurity industry, on the forefront of national security issues. He has held leadership roles at top industry agencies as well as the National Security Agency and the U.S. Air Force. As a cyber strategist, Jim has been asked to brief intelligence directors at various federal agencies. His cyber expertise includes leading complex forensic investigations, network incident response operations, network security monitoring and engineering and working with customers and authorities to assist in the pursuit and prosecution of cyber criminals.
